Medicine Overview of Ancor A 2.5/5
Indication
Treatment of mild to moderate hypertension
Adult dose
Oral Adult 1 tablet once daily Contraindication Cardiogenic shock, overt cardiac failure, second or third degree AV block, and marked sinus bradycardia and known sensitivity to amlodipine/bisoprolol. It produces coronary vasodilation by inhibiting the entry of Ca ions into the slow channels or select voltage-sensitive channels of the vascular smooth muscle and myocardium during depolarisation. It also increases myocardial oxygen delivery in patients w/ vasospastic angina. Precaution Bisoprolol: Overt congestive cardiac failure, abrupt cessation of therapy, peripheral vascular disease, bronchospastic disease, anesthesia and major surgery, diabetes and hypoglycaemia and thyrotoxicosis. Amlodipine: Severe aortic stenosis, congestive heart failure and hepatic failure This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary.
