Indication

Adult dose
Parenteral Adults: The single once daily dose by IM in all age groups is 8 to 16 mg/kg body weight. 16 to 31 kg body weight - 250 mg Analgin (1/2 ml); 32 to 46 kg body weight - 500 mg Analgin (1 ml); 47 - 62 kg body weight - 500 - 750 mg Analgin (1 - 1.5 ml); and >63 kg body weight - 750 - 1000 mg Analgin (1.5 - 2 ml). In cases of persistent pain, the dose can be repeated after 6 to 8 hours. Maximum daily dose - 4 g. Metamizol should not be used parenterally for a period longer than 3 days.

Child<18 years not recommended.
Contraindication
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients Renal failure, pyelonephritis, glomerulonephritis and other renal diseases; Inhibition of hematopoiesis functions (neutropenia cytostatic or infectious, agranulocytosis); Liver failure; Anemias, including hereditary hemolytic anemia; Leukopenia; Propensity to bronchospasm; Optic neuritis; Myasthenia gravis, accompanied by severe muscle weakness and fatigue;
Mode of action
It inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins D and E resulting in analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. It also has the potential for causing agranulocytosis.
Precaution
Allergic reactions to aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs asthma or chronic inflammation of the airways Anaemia The weakness of the kidney or liver An ulcer in the stomach or duodenum Heart disease and systolic blood pressure less than 100 mmHg and unstable circulation disorder (initial shock or heart attack)
Side effect
Allergic reactions that may occur are usually skin reactions: rash, redness, itching, swelling, gradually swelling of the face and tongue, and a lot more dangerous anaphylactic shock which has the following symptoms: itching, cold sweat, dizziness, lethargy, nausea, redness or paleness of skin and shortness of breath. Metamizole can cause damage to the bone marrow (granulocytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, aplastic anemia). Cases of agranulocytosis are rare, but they are still very serious. Symptoms of agranulocytosis include: high fever, chills, sore throat, difficulty swallowing, inflammation of the mouth, nose, throat. Metamizole can cause digestive disorders such as nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, irritation of the digestive system. You can contact drowsiness, fatigue, weakness, headache, and hypotension, and wheezing.
